Since about one year, a group of fundamental investors in Geneva have been meeting on a quarterly basis to exchange ideas under the name of “Geneva Value Investing Network (VIN)“. They work for mutual funds, hedge funds or family offices and share a passion for fundamental research, stock picking and active investing.
For each meeting, two participants prepare a presentation and the topic is announced in advance. Usually, the topic is a specific investment idea, but it could be anything of interest for the rest of the group, i.e. related to fundamental investing or active portfolio management. The purpose of the meetings is to learn from each other by sharing ideas and criticism in a constructive way. The meetings take place in a meeting room of one of the participants and places are limited.
The next meeting will take place on 28 March. To qualify for participation in the VIN, you must be an active investor subscribing to tried and tested value investing practices. Furthermore, since the groups will be small (no more than 15 members) and fully interactive, you need to be prepared to take your turn contributing a presentation and become active in other ways. You are expected to participate regularly in node meetings. Node sessions will qualify for CFA Institute CE Credits.
Note that your RSVP will not warrant your participation. Your participation needs to be confirmed by the node chair, who will also confirm the exact venue and other details.
(Thursday) 18:00 - 21:00
CFA Society Switzerland has determined that this program qualifies for one CE credit hour under the guidelines of the CFA Institute Continuing Education Program.
